Clan Academy is a feature within the clan system that encourages clans to recruit more characters by rewarding the apprentice and the sponsor for working together. Also, the clan benefits particularly when an apprentice graduates from the Clan Academy.
Clans level 5 and above may create a Clan Academy by speaking to a clan NPC in-game. To become an apprentice, a character must be level 75 or lower and have not completed their third class transfer. To become a sponsor, a character must be level 76 or higher and have completed their third class transfer.
The clan benefits most of all when an apprentice graduates from the Clan Academy. In the mean time, the clan leader and the sponsor can benefit from exclusive buffs:

The Mentor Ring can only be worn by a Clan Academy apprentice or graduate. It is an A-Grade ring that gives M. Def. +55 and MP +22. It cannot be traded, dropped, crystallized, stored in a clan warehouse, shared via the Dimensional Merchant, or used while in the Olympiad. The ring can be destroyed or stored in a private warehouse.
Before the Goddess of Destruction update, Clan Academy members could acquire a D-grade armor set through a quest that may be conducted with ordinary clan members. That set, the Clan Oath armor, is no longer available but was not removed. Some characters may still have and use their Clan Oath set.
When an apprentice graduates from the Clan Academy, the clan receives 290 to 2,000 Clan Reputation points. In addition, 1,000 Clan Reputation points are awarded for every 10 apprentices who graduate from the Clan Academy.
